I’m ready to share some pages from my contribution to the upcoming Universe Gun issue 11, created by Mike Cooper (aka Dr Mike 2000). I’m a huge fan of Mike’s work as I’ve already mentioned here and there, and I have been totally invigorated to work on these pages; it’s something totally different to the autobio stuff I’ve been doing for the last four years.

There’s been a lot of searching for reference images from Tarem Singh’s films, particularly his visual masterpiece The Fall, as well as Middle Eastern traditional costumes, Indonesian architecture, Greek mosaic patterns, space, and more. I’m using a similar procedure to the Mother’s Day comic, going from digital roughs, to pencils, inks, and then to digital colour.
