During 2020 I had the opportunity to create a series of illustrations for CNBSafe, focused on James Wood (Woody) and his experiences resulting from a life-changing workplace accident. It’s direct and impactful, told from Woody’s first-hand perspective, and it has opened my eyes.
Imagine living in a world where a flight of stairs are a barrier, where you lose the ability to control your bodily functions, where previously simple tasks take on an unprecedented challenge.
Woody takes it on with good humour and resilience, and shares of himself openly to help prevent others from taking unnecessary risks. It’s a privilege to be asked to help communicate his story.
