Kim Jung Gi

Watching Kim Jung Gi’s live drawing demonstrations gave me permission to draw in my sketchbook directly with ink pen. No planning, straight-ahead drawing, allowing the theme and story to emerge from the process. What comes out is faster and looser than anything constructed over pencil. It requires being in the moment of drawing. Drawing as Meditation; a mix of control, attention, and emptiness.
