I made these during spare moments in my previous office job. The challenge was to tell a story in the limited space of a post it note. In this I had to resort to the diary-strip comic technique of James Kolchaka’s American Elf, depicting more a moment in time and head-space than structured narrative. Working within this confined medium was challenging, and the fact that I also restricted myself to drawing only in pen with no pre-planning led to a peace with the final outcome. I am keenly conscious of the fact that any alteration would disrupt the entire image, and will keep this technique of self-enforced restriction in mind for future output.
